Casual Position | Monday to Friday | East Coast Tasmania
Becks Mitre 10 St Helens Trade Centre is seeking a reliable and hardworking MR/HR Truck Driver to join their team, delivering goods to customers across Tasmania’s East Coast.
This is a casual position, with shifts available Monday to Friday between 8:00 am and 5:00 pm. There may also be opportunities to increase casual hours by assisting with general duties in the trade yard.
The successful applicant will have a strong focus on customer service, a commitment to workplace safety and the ability to work independently while representing the business in a professional and friendly manner.
What You’ll Be Doing
- Delivering building materials and other goods to customers across the East Coast
- Ensuring deliveries are accurate, completed on time and handled safely
- Loading and unloading goods as required
- Providing friendly, professional and reliable customer service
- Maintaining a strong commitment to the health and safety of staff, customers and contractors
- Working independently and representing Becks Mitre 10 in a professional manner
- Assisting with general trade yard duties when required
What You’ll Bring
- A current and valid driver’s licence
- A current Medium Rigid (MR) truck licence (essential)
- A Heavy Rigid (HR) and/or crane licence (highly regarded)
- Excellent communication and interpersonal skills
- A reliable, hardworking attitude and strong work ethic
- The ability to work independently and as part of a team
- Good physical fitness, with the ability to undertake manual handling and heavy lifting
- Availability to work casual shifts Monday to Friday
