Job Description

Blue Wren is looking for a caring, reliable and experienced Support Worker to join their team, providing support to clients in the St Helens and St Marys areas.

This is a hands-on support role suited to someone who enjoys working with older people and people with disability and takes pride in providing respectful, person-centred care.

About the Role

Working as part of the Blue Wren team, you will support clients with their day-to-day needs while helping them maintain their independence, comfort and wellbeing.

Duties may include:

  • Providing respite support.
  • Assisting with personal care.
  • Providing domestic assistance.
  • Supporting clients with mobility.
  • Helping clients with everyday activities and routines.
  • Providing safe, respectful and person-centred support.

About You

  • Caring, patient, respectful and reliable.
  • Confident providing hands-on personal care.
  • Experienced in supporting older people and people with disability.
  • Able to work independently and as part of a team.
  • A good communicator with a professional approach to supporting clients.
  • Committed to providing safe and respectful care.

Requirements

  • Certificate III in Individual Support (Ageing and Disability), or an equivalent qualification.
  • Previous personal care experience, which is essential for this role.
  • NDIS Worker Screening Check.
  • Current Working with Vulnerable People (WWVP) Card.
  • Current driver’s licence.
  • Current Police Check.
  • Current First Aid Certificate, or willingness to obtain/work towards this.

Experience supporting clients who require assistance with mobility and personal care will be highly regarded.
