Georges Bay Apartments is seeking a reliable and motivated Supervisor / Caretaker (single applicant or couple) to join their team in St Helens.
This is a hands-on leadership role suited to someone who thrives in a dynamic hospitality environment and takes pride in maintaining exceptional standards across all aspects of motel operations.
About the Role
The Supervisor / Caretaker will play a key role in the smooth day-to-day running of the property. Responsibilities include:
- Managing stock and supplies
- Overseeing linen control and ordering
- Preparing and managing a 7-day rotating staff roster
- Working alongside team members in daily operations
- Coaching, mentoring and supporting staff
- Ensuring all rooms and common areas are presented to the highest standard
- Lawn mowing and general property maintenance (caretaker duties)
- Maintaining smooth daily motel operations
- Being on-call after hours to attend to guest needs and urgent issues
This position requires flexibility to work across a 7-day roster, including weekends and public holidays. Availability for after-hours call-outs is essential.
About You
We are looking for someone who has:
- Previous experience in hospitality, motel, or accommodation management (preferred)
- Strong leadership and communication skills
- Excellent organisational skills and attention to detail
- The ability to work independently and within a team
- Practical problem-solving abilities
- A positive, proactive and hands-on attitude
