About the Role:
Freycinet Holiday Houses manages a portfolio of 120+ holiday properties across Coles Bay and Tasmania’s East Coast. We are seeking a Senior Assistant Manager to act as second-in-command, leading day-to-day operations across all departments. This senior leadership position requires operational oversight, HR capability, financial discipline, and the ability to manage complexity at scale.
Key Responsibilities:
- Lead and manage cross-department operations, including Front Office, Guest Services, Bookings, and Property Standards
- Oversee workforce performance, recruitment, compliance, and HR processes
- Ensure accuracy and integrity within Resly and booking systems
- Monitor occupancy, revenue, and operational metrics
- Lead End of Month reconciliation processes for Director approval
- Coordinate contractors and maintenance workflows
- Maintain portfolio-wide quality standards
- Resolve escalated operational and guest issues decisively
- Implement structured systems and accountability frameworks
Essential Experience:
- Senior-level experience in multi-site or multi-property accommodation operations
- Proven HR leadership and performance management experience
- Experience managing 15+ staff
- Strong attention to detail, particularly in financial reconciliation
- Confidence using PMS systems (Resly highly regarded)
- Ability to operate independently and make sound operational decisions
- Demonstrated maturity, structure, and accountability
