Flexible Work-from-Home Opportunity | Tasmania
Employer: Meyer Institute
Employment Type: Casual
Hours: 10+ hours per week
Location: Remote / Telehealth
Closing Date: 30 November 2026
About the Opportunity
Looking for a flexible opportunity to provide psychological services from your own workspace?
Meyer Institute is seeking a Registered Psychologist to join our team on a casual basis, with a focus on delivering psychological services through telehealth.
This opportunity may suit Tasmanian-based psychologists looking for flexible working arrangements without the need to travel to a clinic.
We’re looking for someone who enjoys building meaningful relationships with clients, delivering quality psychological care and helping people make practical progress.
Our services support children, adolescents and adults through psychological therapy, assessments and reports. We welcome applications from psychologists with experience in therapy, assessment or both.
Key Responsibilities
- Provide psychological therapy via telehealth using approaches suited to your training and client needs.
- Conduct suitable psychological assessments, feedback sessions and prepare reports within your areas of competence.
- Develop treatment plans and monitor client progress.
- Maintain accurate clinical records and documentation.
- Communicate professionally with referrers and other professionals, with appropriate consent.
- Manage agreed appointments and reporting deadlines.
- Identify and escalate clinical concerns appropriately.
Skills and Requirements
- Current general registration as a psychologist with the Psychology Board of Australia.
- Relevant clinical experience and sound professional judgement.
- Clear understanding of professional scope, competence and ethical responsibilities.
- Strong written communication and report-writing skills.
- Warm, respectful and client-centred approach.
- Reliable communication and organisational skills.
- Suitable technology, reliable internet and a private workspace for confidential telehealth consultations.
Experience working with psychological assessments, NDIS participants or work-related psychological injuries is welcome.
An area of practice endorsement is advantageous but not essential. We encourage applications from generally registered psychologists with relevant experience.
Working Arrangements
- Primarily remote telehealth work.
- Flexible casual employment.
- Approximately 10+ hours per week.
- Work from your own suitable private workspace.
- Duties, client allocation, availability and working arrangements will be discussed individually.
This is a casual employee opportunity, separate from any subcontractor arrangements.
