St Helens Dental is committed to providing high-quality dental care in a welcoming and professional environment. We are seeking a friendly, organized, and professional Receptionist to be the first point of contact for our patients. This role offers on-the-job training, making it ideal for candidates with or without prior dental or medical experience.
The Role
As a key member of our team, you will manage front office operations and support the smooth running of the clinic. You will also assist with clinical support tasks, including infection control and sterilization procedures.
Key Responsibilities
- Greet and welcome patients to the clinic
- Answer phone calls, screen, and redirect or take messages
- Respond to general inquiries in person, by phone, or via email
- Schedule and manage patient appointments
- Maintain patient accounts and records
- Process payments using HICAPS and EFTPOS
- Assist in the day-to-day operations of the dental facility
- Handle incoming and outgoing mail and deliveries
- Perform clerical tasks including data entry, filing, scanning, and copying
- Manage and organize specialist referrals
- Maintain digital and paper filing systems
- Keep reception area clean, organized, and professional
- Monitor office supply levels and coordinate restocking
- Follow established infection control standards
- Prepare and reprocess dental instruments, including sterilization and disinfection procedures
- Develop dental x-rays

- Ability to work well under pressure in a fast-paced environment

- Proof of up-to-date immunizations
Additional Information
- Experience in dental or medical administration is desirable but not essential
- Casual position with immediate start
