Flexible Opportunity | Contractor, Part-Time or Casual

Fidler & Ford – Care, Support and Recovery is seeking a Psychologist to join a growing private practice located on Tasmania’s scenic East Coast.

This role offers flexible working arrangements, including contractor, part-time, or casual options (approximately two days per week), with the ability to tailor hours and workload to suit the right candidate.

This is an excellent opportunity for a clinician seeking a relaxed coastal lifestyle while working within a supportive and collaborative team environment. The position can be shaped around your clinical interests and experience, with opportunities across assessment, therapy, NDIS supports, educational psychology, and general mental health presentations.

About the Role

You will provide psychological services to children, adolescents, and/or adults depending on your scope of practice and interests.

The role offers flexibility across:

  • Client groups (children, adolescents, adults, families)
  • Service delivery modes
  • Clinical focus areas (therapy, assessment, NDIS, educational and developmental work)

Key Responsibilities

  • Deliver evidence-based psychological interventions
  • Conduct psychological and developmental assessments where appropriate
  • Support clients across a range of presentations, including neurodevelopmental, mental health, and disability-related needs
  • Maintain accurate clinical documentation and ethical practice standards
  • Work both independently and collaboratively within a multidisciplinary setting

About You

We are seeking a practitioner who:

  • Holds current registration with the Psychology Board of Australia (AHPRA)
  • Is eligible to provide psychological services in Australia
  • Holds a valid Working with Vulnerable People registration (Tasmania)
  • Demonstrates strong communication and interpersonal skills
  • Works with a client-centred, ethical, and evidence-based approach
  • Can work independently while contributing positively to a team environment
  • Has experience with a range of therapeutic modalities
  • Is competent or developing competence in assessments such as:
    • Educational and developmental assessments
    • Autism assessments
    • ADHD assessments
    • Other cognitive and behavioural assessments

Also Considered

  • Provisional psychologists with relevant experience in disability, education, mental health, community services, allied health, or support coordination
  • Early-career psychologists seeking supervision, mentoring, and professional development support
