Project Engineer – Council Infrastructure

Council is seeking an experienced and motivated Project Engineer to join its Infrastructure team to support the planning, design, delivery, and ongoing management of essential community assets.

About the Role

  • Provides engineering expertise across infrastructure and capital works projects
  • Supports planning, design, delivery and asset management activities
  • Ensures compliance with legislative, safety, environmental and quality requirements
  • Works collaboratively with internal teams, contractors, developers and the community
  • Contributes to sustainable, long-term infrastructure outcomes

About the Ideal Candidate

  • Experienced engineering professional with strong technical and project delivery capability
  • Able to manage multiple priorities, projects, and stakeholder relationships effectively
  • Strong communication skills with a collaborative and solutions-focused approach
  • Experience in local government, asset management or development assessment highly regarded
  • Proactive, organised, and committed to continuous improvement
