St Mary’s Community Health Centre are looking for a committed and capable Cook to join the team. located in the stunning Fingal Valley in North-East Tasmania. This is a great opportunity to be part of a supportive rural health service where your role directly contributes to the wellbeing of patients, residents, staff, and community clients through the preparation and delivery of nutritious meals.
Key Responsibilities:
- Prepare and serve a variety of meals to suit individual dietary needs
- Ensure all food handling, preparation, and storage aligns with the Food Safety Plan
- Maintain high standards of hygiene and cleanliness in the kitchen
- Collaborate with health staff to ensure timely and appropriate meal service
- Monitor food supplies and assist with ordering as needed
What you’ll bring:
- Experience in preparing and presenting meals in a commercial or care setting
- Sound knowledge of food safety, hygiene, and infection control practices
- Good communication and teamwork skills
- Certificate II in Hospitality (desirable)
- Experience with special dietary requirements (desirable)
