Medea Park is seeking a reliable and motivated Maintenance Officer to join our team and help maintain a safe, comfortable, and welcoming environment for our residents, staff, and visitors.

About the Role

Reporting to the Maintenance Lead, you will assist with the delivery of maintenance services across the facility, ensuring buildings, equipment, grounds, and vehicles are maintained to a high standard.

You will work both independently and as part of a team to support the ongoing safety, functionality, and presentation of Medea Park.

Key Responsibilities

  • Carry out general maintenance and repair work across the facility.
  • Assist with the maintenance of buildings, equipment, vehicles, and grounds.
  • Ensure maintenance equipment is safe, serviceable, and stored correctly.
  • Identify, report, and document maintenance issues, hazards, and incidents.
  • Support workplace health and safety initiatives and comply with organisational policies and procedures.
  • Participate in fire safety, manual handling, and other mandatory training programs.
  • Maintain effective communication with staff, residents, families, and contractors.
  • Contribute to a safe, clean, and comfortable environment for residents and visitors.

Essential Requirements

  • Current Driver’s Licence.
  • Current First Aid Certificate (or willingness to obtain).
  • Current CPR Certificate (or willingness to obtain).
  • Fire Safety Certification (or willingness to obtain).
  • Work Health and Safety training relevant to the role.
  • National Police Check (within the last 3 years or willingness to obtain).
  • Trade qualification in a related discipline (preferred).

Desirable

  • Previous experience in aged care, healthcare, or a similar environment.
  • Electrical Test & Tag certification.
  • Working at Heights certification.
