Job Description
White Sands Estate is seeking an experienced Machinery Operator to join their team on a casual basis. This role involves operating heavy machinery on civil and earthworks projects, with a strong focus on safe and efficient work practices.
Key Responsibilities
- Operate excavators up to 30 tonnes
- Operate 25-tonne dump trucks
- Perform routine machinery inspections and maintenance
- Carry out earthmoving and compaction works
- Work independently and contribute to project delivery
- Follow workplace health and safety requirements at all times
Skills and Experience
To be successful in this role, you will have:
- Previous experience operating heavy machinery
- Experience in dam construction and/or earth compaction works
- Ability to work unsupervised and manage tasks independently
- Machinery maintenance and troubleshooting skills
- Experience in rock wall construction (highly regarded)
- A strong commitment to workplace safety
Employment Details
Employment Type: Casual
Hours: Negotiable, generally up to 38 hours per week
Remuneration: Award rates or contract rates, depending on experience and qualification
