About the Role
Purple Possum Wholefoods and cafe are looking for an enthusiastic Junior Hospitality Assistant to join their team on Saturdays. No experience? No worries — they will train you in every part of the café and wholefoods store until you feel confident and capable.
This is a great opportunity for a young person who enjoys people, loves good food, and wants to learn practical hospitality and retail skills in a supportive environment.
What You’ll Be Doing
- Greeting customers and providing friendly, helpful service
- Assisting in the café with food prep, serving, clearing tables, and keeping the space tidy
- Helping customers in the wholefoods store — scooping bulk foods, restocking shelves, and maintaining displays
- Learning how to operate the coffee machine and point‑of‑sale system
- Supporting the team with general cleaning and end‑of‑day pack‑down
- Being part of a fun, welcoming, community‑minded workplace
