The Pub in the Paddock in Pyengana is looking for a couple of people to join the team.
They are currently looking for:
- Chef, casual or part-time
- Front of House / Housekeeping All-Rounder, casual
These roles would suit people who are reliable, easy to get along with and happy to be part of a small team.
Previous experience would be welcome, but for the all-rounder role they are also happy to train someone who has the right attitude and is keen to learn.
About the Roles
Chef
The chef role will involve helping with day-to-day kitchen operations and preparing meals for customers.
Duties may include:
- Preparing and cooking meals.
- Helping with food preparation.
- Keeping the kitchen clean and organised.
- Following food safety and hygiene requirements.
- Working with the rest of the team during busy service periods.
The role may be available on a casual or part-time basis, depending on the person and availability.
Front of House / Housekeeping All-Rounder
This is a mixed role across customer service and housekeeping.
Duties may include:
- Serving customers and helping out front of house.
- Keeping dining and public areas clean and tidy.
- Cleaning and preparing the six guest rooms.
- Making beds and completing room changeovers.
- Cleaning bathrooms and shared guest areas.
- Helping with laundry and general housekeeping.
- Pitching in with other jobs around the pub when needed.
About You
We’re looking for people who are:
- Friendly, reliable and willing to help out.
- Comfortable working as part of a small team.
- Able to work independently when needed.
- Flexible with hours, including some weekends.
- Willing to learn and take on different tasks.
For the chef role, previous kitchen or cooking experience would be well regarded.
For the all-rounder role, experience in hospitality, cleaning or customer service would be handy, but it isn’t essential.
The Opportunity
The Pub in the Paddock is open seven days a week, generally during the day, with some evening trading as well.
Hours will vary depending on the role, roster and how busy things are.
These roles could suit someone looking for casual or part-time work, wanting to build hospitality experience, or keen to work in a local country pub.
