Edge of the Bay is a peaceful waterfront retreat set on 27 acres overlooking Great Oyster Bay.  Our vintage chalets and ocean view studios welcome travellers seeking stillness, connection and the natural beauty of the Freycinet Peninsula.  As part of the Intrepid Stay collection, we believe travel can be a force for good — for people, place and planet.

We’re now looking for a friendly, reliable Hospitality All Rounder to join our team to deliver warm, thoughtful service across our accommodation and The Edge Restaurant & Bar.

The Role

As a Hospitality All Rounder, you’ll be involved in a variety of tasks that keep our property running smoothly and ensure guests feel welcomed, comfortable and cared for.

Key Responsibilities

  • Provide warm, attentive service to guests across reception, housekeeping and restaurant operations
  • Assist with check-ins, check-outs and general guest enquiries
  • Support housekeeping with room resets, linen changes and maintaining high cleanliness standards
  • Work alongside the Restaurant & Bar team during service periods — greeting guests, delivering meals, clearing tables and maintaining presentation
  • Help with basic food and beverage preparation as required
  • Maintain a calm, friendly presence and contribute to a positive team culture
  • Uphold our sustainability values through thoughtful daily practices and care for Country

About You

You’re someone who enjoys variety, takes pride in your work and brings a warm, welcoming energy to every interaction.

What You Bring

  • Previous hospitality experience is helpful, but a great attitude and willingness to learn are just as important
  • A friendly, reliable and professional approach to guest service
  • Ability to work across multiple departments and adapt to changing needs
  • Strong communication skills and a team‑focused mindset
  • Good personal presentation and attention to detail
  • A genuine appreciation for the natural environment and local community
