Location: East & North East Coast, including Buckland through to Swansea, Bicheno, Coles Bay, and St Helens through to Musselroe
Employment Type: Casual (with potential for permanent part-time)

About the Opportunity:

May Shaw is seeking a compassionate and motivated Home Support Worker (ECA) to join our Home and Community Care Program.

As a Home Support Worker, you will deliver high-quality, person-centred care to clients living in their own homes, supporting them to maintain independence, dignity, and wellbeing.

Our service area covers the East and North East Coast of Tasmania. Applicants living locally are encouraged to apply, though applicants willing to travel will also be considered.

Key Responsibilities:

  • Provide individualised support to clients in their own homes.
  • Assist with personal care, domestic assistance, and social support as required.
  • Promote independence and quality of life through person-centred care.
  • Work collaboratively with clients, families, and the wider care team.
  • Maintain accurate documentation and uphold client confidentiality.

What You’ll Need:

  • Certificate III in Individual Support (or willingness and ability to obtain).
  • A current driver’s licence and reliable, insured vehicle.
  • Previous experience in home support, aged care, or a personal care role (highly regarded).
  • Current National Police Check.
  • Current flu vaccination (mandatory) and COVID vaccination (preferred).
  • Passion for supporting people in the community with empathy, respect, and professionalism.
