Duration: Approximately 24 months
Hours: As and when required, with hours negotiable

About the Role

St Helens District Hospital is located on Tasmania’s stunning East Coast and provides high-quality, patient-centred healthcare to the local community and visitors.

We are looking for caring, reliable and compassionate individuals to join our team as a Home Help Personal Carer.

In this role, you will provide essential household and personal care support to clients in their own homes, helping them maintain their independence and wellbeing.

Key Responsibilities

  • Perform household and personal care duties in line with each client’s individual care plan
  • Transport relevant equipment to clients’ homes as required
  • Monitor clients and provide feedback regarding any significant changes in their health or wellbeing
  • Build positive and respectful relationships with clients
  • Work collaboratively with Community Health team members

About You

We are looking for someone who has:

  • Experience performing domestic duties for older people and/or people living with a disability in their own homes
  • Strong written and verbal communication skills
  • An understanding of client confidentiality and rights
  • The ability to work independently and as part of a team
  • A caring, reliable and respectful approach

Essential Requirement

  • Current Driver’s Licence

Desirable

  • Certificate III in Individual Support, Aged Care or another relevant qualification
  • Current First Aid Certificate
