Job Description
Furneaux, an acclaimed French Fine Dining restaurant in St Helens with multiple awards, is currently hiring a full-time Front of House team member with expertise to contribute to delivering exceptional service for their guests.
This role will involve:
- Greeting and welcoming guests as they arrive at the restaurant with a warm and friendly demeanor.
- Providing guests with menus, answering any questions they may have about menu items, and making recommendations based on their preferences.
- Taking and accurately recording food and beverage orders from guests and communicating them promptly to the kitchen and bar staff.
- Ensuring that guests’ orders are served promptly and accurately, paying close attention to presentation and quality.
- Monitoring dining areas and ensuring that tables are properly set and maintained throughout service.
- Anticipating guests’ needs and responding promptly to any requests or concerns they may have during their dining experience.
- Processing payments from guests accurately and efficiently, handling cash and credit card transactions with care.
- Collaborating closely with other front of house and back of house staff to ensure smooth and efficient restaurant operations.
- Assisting with opening and closing duties, including setting up and breaking down dining areas, cleaning and sanitizing surfaces, and restocking supplies as needed.
- Upholding high standards of cleanliness, hygiene, and safety in accordance with restaurant policies and health regulations.
- Maintaining a professional appearance and demeanor at all times, adhering to uniform and grooming standards.
