Location: Eastern Tasmania

Salary: $64,506 per annum (pro-rata for 0.8 FTE, $41.35 per hour)

Employment Type: Part-time (30 hours/week, 0.8 FTE)

About Us:
The Country Universities Centre (CUC) Eastern Tasmania is a place-based student support organisation governed by a local Board of Directors, East Tas Education and Employment. Established in May 2025 with funding from the Australian Government’s Regional University Study Hub (RUSH) program, CUC Eastern Tasmania supports higher and vocational education students in regional communities. The Centre is part of the wider Country Universities Centre Network.

Role Overview:
The Education Coordinator will play a key role in shaping the educational landscape of Eastern Tasmania. This position involves providing direct student support, fostering community engagement, and collaborating with stakeholders to enhance access to post-secondary education. The role reports to the Centre Manager and works closely with the CUC Network.

Key Responsibilities:

  • Contribute to the operation, growth, and sustainability of CUC Eastern Tasmania.
  • Provide academic, administrative, and pastoral support to students.
  • Design and implement strategies to enhance the student experience.
  • Undertake community engagement to promote the Centre and widen participation in post-secondary education.
  • Collaborate with local employment hubs to align education opportunities with regional industry needs.
  • Build and maintain relationships with stakeholders, education providers, and community partners.
  • Assist the Centre Manager with day-to-day operations to maintain a vibrant, safe, and inclusive learning environment.

Remuneration & Benefits:

  • 0.8 FTE, Educational Services (Post-Secondary Education) Award 2020, General Staff Level 7.1.
