The Domestic Fairy | North East Tasmania
The Domestic Fairy is currently seeking a reliable, compassionate and capable Domestic Support Worker to assist aged care and disability clients with home cleaning and related domestic tasks.
This is a casual position with a small number of hours to begin with, offering the opportunity to take on more work as demand grows. It’s ideal for someone looking to ease into a flexible role that fits around other commitments.
About the role
The successful applicant will support older people and people with disability to remain safe, comfortable and independent in their own homes. Duties will include a range of domestic cleaning and household tasks, carried out with care, consistency and respect.
We are looking for someone who takes genuine pride in their work, has good cleaning skills and an eye for detail, and understands the importance of maintaining a clean, tidy and welcoming home environment for our clients.

Essential requirements
- Certificate III in Community Services, Aged Care or Disability (or currently working towards it)
- Current Working with Vulnerable People registration (WWVP)
- Current driver’s licence and reliable, insured vehicle
- First Aid certificate
- National Police Check
- Physically capable of undertaking domestic cleaning duties, including bending, lifting and general household tasks
- Demonstrated ability and confidence in carrying out domestic cleaning to a high standard
- Good attention to detail, organisation skills and the ability to work independently
- A kind, responsible and professional attitude
