Job Description

A community-focused organisation in St Helens is currently seeking a compassionate and reliable Support Worker to join their team on a casual basis, with the potential to transition into part-time or full-time employment.

The successful applicant will support individuals with psychosocial disabilities, helping to build their capacity, confidence, and independence across a variety of settings. This dynamic role includes:

  • Assisting with everyday household tasks and shopping
  • Supporting community engagement and social activities
  • Navigating life tasks and personal routines
  • Encouraging independence and skill development
  • Assisting clients in pursuing employment or further education

Essential Criteria:

  • Physically fit and comfortable with an active, hands-on role
  • Ability to work both independently and as part of a team
  • Current Working with Vulnerable People (WWVP) registration or willingness to obtain
  • Current First Aid and CPR certification (or willingness to obtain)
  • Strong communication skills and a genuine passion for supporting others
