Position Overview
As a Disability Support Worker, you will provide direct care and support to Multicap clients in a variety of settings, including:
- Multicap Tasmania-owned or leased facilities
- Client homes
- Community locations
You will assist clients to participate in daily activities, promote independence, and support them to achieve their personal goals. The hours and shifts for this role will vary, so flexibility and the ability to work a range of shifts is essential.
No formal qualification is required to apply; however, First Aid/CPR certification and a full driver’s license are mandatory to meet the requirements of this role.
Key Responsibilities
Deliver high-quality, person-centred care and support
- Assist clients with daily living tasks, activities, and community participation
- Support clients to develop skills, independence, and confidence
- Work collaboratively with colleagues, families, and external providers
- Maintain accurate records and documentation in line with Multicap policies and procedures
- Ensure a safe, inclusive, and respectful environment at all times
Skills and Experience
- Previous experience in disability services, aged care, or a similar field preferred but not required
- Ability to work flexible hours and shifts as required
- Strong communication and interpersonal skills
- Ability to work independently and as part of a team
- First Aid/CPR certification and a full driver’s license
