The Role:
Edge of the Bay Resort is seeking a passionate Commis Chef to join our team and learn from experienced senior chefs while showcasing Tasmania’s stunning local produce. This is a fantastic opportunity for someone looking to grow their culinary skills in a fast-paced, supportive environment.
Key Responsibilities:
- Assist senior chefs in daily kitchen operations and food preparation
- Prepare and present high-quality dishes using local, seasonal ingredients
- Maintain kitchen hygiene and follow safety and food handling standards
- Contribute creativity and ideas to menu development
- Thrive in a busy team environment while supporting colleagues
Requirements:
- Commercial cookery qualification
- Demonstrated experience, creativity, and passion for food
- Ability to work efficiently in a fast-paced kitchen
- Reliable, professional, and a team player
- Keen to make a permanent move to Tasmania’s East Coast and build a career in the region
