CHEF / COOK REQUIRED – SURFSIDE HOTEL, BEAUMARIS
The Surfside Hotel, located on Tasmania’s beautiful East Coast, is seeking an experienced Chef or Cook to take over the running of our small bistro kitchen for a minimum of 2–3 months.
We’re looking for someone who can run a small commercial kitchen largely independently, manage service confidently, and devise a suitable Australian pub-style menu in consultation with the owner.
Current kitchen hours:
• Friday and Saturday evenings, 5.00pm–7.30pm
• Saturday and Sunday lunch, 12.00pm–2.00pm
• Potential for additional evening shifts
Start date: Friday 19 September.
The role can be offered under the Hospitality Award on a casual basis, or under a contractor arrangement.
Accommodation can be provided onsite if required.
We’re looking for someone who:
• Has solid commercial kitchen experience
• Can run a small kitchen with minimal supervision
• Is confident managing service
• Can plan and develop a practical menu
• Is reliable, adaptable and organised
• Enjoys working in a relaxed coastal environment
