Job Description

The successful candidate will be responsible for the delivery of the Area Connect service and will provide transport to jobseekers and participants undertaking education and training activities allowing them to increase skills and to secure and sustain employment. 

The position is classified at Grade 3 of the Passenger Vehicle Transportation Award with the benefit of salary sacrifice options.

The successful candidate will be offered casual shifts Monday to Friday within our normal operating hours to deliver transport to our participants.

Key responsibilities of the position are to:

  • Safely operate Area Connect and CTST vehicles of varying sizes
  • Ensure the provision of service is efficient and aligns to schedules and established timeframes
  • Confidently use mobile devices and information technology e.g. mobile phone, i-Pad
  • Maintain professional and appropriate relationships with passengers, employees and the general public at all times
  • Ensure that vehicles are always maintained in a safe operating condition including the completion of pre-departure checks and end of day procedures
  • Follow established procedures for record keeping and reporting and collect fares when required

MUST HAVE:

  • Current drivers licence
  • Ancillary certification (PPV – Other)
  • Working with Vulnerable Persons Card (or be willing to obtain)
  • Current National Police Check (or be willing to obtain)
