Pyengana Dairy, a part of TasFoods Limited, is nestled in the picturesque north-east of Tasmania. This pivotal leadership role will primarily oversee the café division. As an esteemed player in the dairy industry, Pyengana products are admired by our customers and are available in the café for tasting and buying. This attracts customers worldwide, making it a unique and exciting opportunity for a Café Manager.
Your new role:
Reporting to the Pyengana dairy Operations Manager, you’ll be responsible for the day-to-day running of the café. With a strong focus on cost management, best practice, and business growth, your day will also include:
- Maintain staff by recruiting, selecting, orienting, and training employees.
- Process payments and submit bank deposits.
- Maintain a clean and presentable environment within the café and ensure it complies with health regulations.
- Ensures a safe, secure, and legal work environment.
- Arranging the purchasing and pricing of goods according to budget.
- Maintaining records of stock levels and financial transactions.
Work Hours & Benefits:
This is an exciting opportunity to join a strong, established business and receive a salary package. The work schedule is 45 hours per week.
What you’ll need to succeed:
A strong manager with excellent communication and people skills, to be considered for this role, you will also be able to demonstrate:
- Strong supervision skills
- An ability to engage with stakeholders and suppliers.
- A focus on achieving efficiencies and positive outcomes.
- An ability to foster teamwork.
- Knowledge of and experience with food safety and hygiene.
- Knowledge of SAP will be advantageous.
