Job Description
East Tas Education and Employment are seeking a Casual Bookkeeper, for approximately one day per week.
This position is responsible for managing the routine financial administration, including payroll processing, invoice management, and basic bookkeeping functions, of Break O’Day Employment Connect/Dorset Employment Connect, Country University Center Eastern Tasmania and the overarching organisation – East Tas Education and Employment.
This role supports the compliant operation of the organisational financess, contributes to reporting and ensures grant deed requirements are met.
The main tasks include:
| Accounting | Confident in the use of Xero software Complete Accounts Payable & Receivable Complete Fortnightly Payroll Preparation of Batch Payments | Complete tasks to required schedule Develop systems and process that ensure efficiency |
| Compliance | Complete GST and BAS Reporting Ensure Payroll Compliance – including STP and Superannuation Ensure ATO guidelines are met Assist with Grant Deed requirements | Consistent compliance with requirements |
| Reporting | Prepare Monthly Reports Maintain internal controls and record keeping | Deliver reports on time to the required standard |
| Communication | Clear reporting to management Liaise with external accountants and auditors Support Board and Managers with financial information and reporting | Effective communication flows |
