Job Description
Scamander Beach Resort are seeking a self-motivated and experienced Assistant Manager to join our team, working directly with the General Manager in the daily operating of a 60 room hotel, bar & restaurant on the beautiful East Coast of Tasmania.
As a valued professional you with have input in the managing of all areas including accommodation, F&B, liquor retail and functions. A minimum 1 year demonstrated experience in a similar role with strong proven skills in food, bar and hotel operations is essential.
You will be expected to take a hands on approach to operations, leading by example to ensure the highest standards of customer service, whilst complying with company policies, legislative requirements & company set targets.

- As a senior part of our team you must be trust worthy, reliable and respectful
- Excellent up-to-date F&B product knowledge with a focus on Locally sourced Tasmania Produce & Wines
- Exceptional communication skills with great understanding and enthusiasm for creating a great guest experience
- Have the ability to lead a team, ensuring they deliver an excellent standard of service whilst promoting growth for our staff as individuals as well as a team
- Good knowledge of industry regulations in both liquor & gaming as well as hotel & hygiene standards
- Sound computer competency skills
- Proven experience in cash handling, rostering & ordering
- Competency in one or more booking systems (RMS very advantageous)
- Current RSA, RCG & Senior Tas Keno Licence
