An opportunity is available for an apprentice plasterer to join a small, locally based business in St Marys, Tasmania.
About the role
This position offers hands-on, on-the-job training while completing formal training through TAFE. You’ll learn real trade skills, work on residential projects, and gain experience alongside qualified tradespeople.
- Full-time position
- 6:00am start times
- Based out of St Marys
What you’ll need
- Interest in learning a hands-on trade
- Motivation to learn on the job and apply yourself at TAFE
- Willingness to listen, learn, and have a go
- Ability to show initiative and a strong work ethic
- Driver’s licence preferred
- Access to your own vehicle preferred
- Able to work as part of a small team
Skills you’ll learn and use
- Ceiling fixing and plastering
- Internal fit-outs and metal framing
- Use of hand and power tools
- Measuring, cutting, and set-out basics
- Working safely on site, including ceilings and heights
- Keeping work areas clean and organised
