Job Description

Local business Groundworks Landscaping are taking on an Apprentice Horticulturalist.

As an apprentice your training will cover:

  • identifying, pruning and propagating plants
  • treating weeds, pests and diseased plants
  • operating a range of garden and horticultural machinery
  • drainage, irrigation and paving

A horticulturalist can apply their skills to work for private clients and gardens, in sports turf management, for councils and national parks and in plant nurseries and farms.

To enjoy this role you must:

  • love being outdoors
  • be able to undertake manual labour, including heavy lifting
  • have an interest in plants and nature

Groundworks Landscaping are looking for someone who is reliable, trustworthy and keen to learn. This role would suit a school leaver.
