TasNetworks are seeking a Distribution Lineworker. This role works at the heart of our business; they install, repair and maintain the overhead and underground power network that supplies electricity to our customers.
As an apprentice Distribution Lineworker you’ll perform the following tasks;
- maintaining power poles and wires,
- installing aerial equipment,
- emergency response work,
- investigating power supply problems and fault finding.
Essential requirements of the role include being able to pass a pre-employment medical examination and holding a current provisional drivers licence by February 2025.
You will also need to have completed Year 12 and passed Maths, English and preferably a Science subject, OR have completed pre-vocational studies in Certificate II in Electrotechnology (or equivalent) OR have relevant work experience to be eligible.
