The Youth Network of Tasmania has been supporting youth engagement and participation in the development of the Youth Jobs Strategy, including the establishment of a dedicated Youth Panel to inform project planning and delivery of youth participation and engagement mechanisms from the perspective of young people.
The strategy aims to make it easier for young Tasmanians to access opportunities and supports to navigate a pathway into meaningful work or training. It will also look at ways to assist business and industry connect with, attract and support young people to be part of their workforce.
The Youth Panel has developed a youth-friendly consultation platform and creative submission process to help young people connect with and respond to the full discussion paper. The platform is now live and accepting submissions until 5 November 2023:
